About Me

I'm Gina Metcalf, a licensed psychotherapist who has a passion for supporting people with their relationship needs.  In addition to being a mental health therapist, I'm also an out-of-the box thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.

When I first started my private practice in 2020, I quickly realized how much I loved helping individuals with their relationship issues.  Much of that work centered around supporting communication with partners, educating on how to readjust boundaries, and opening up to create authenticity in relationships.

On a personal note, I'm now happily married, but I went through my fair share of relationship struggles earlier in my life, including doing the thing of breaking up and getting back together with the same people that I knew deep down weren't right for me.  I always knew that I didn't want to settle in love and that's what drove me to end relationships that I knew weren't right, even though the process was often more dragged out than it could have been.

In my therapeutic work, I've often given clients the challenge of pausing contact with their ex for 30 days as a way to take a break from a relationship that either feels addictive, wrong, or like it just needs some space.  I started giving them things to fill their time, which grew into a full-on 30 day plan, and this course was born!

About The Course

I know from personal and professional experience that going through a breakup is hard and it can feel overwhelming to know where to start.

This course takes the guesswork out of that process and allows you to focus on yourself.  Here's how it works: Each day you'll be emailed a video with an assignment to complete over the following 24 hours.  The assignments are a mix of everything from deep and reflective to light and fun.  The first few videos will help you identify what you want to get out of your 30 days and how to set yourself up to achieve those goals.  From there, the videos build on each other to create a holistic experience of support for you.

Why 30 days?  30 days is a long enough amount of time to make behavioral changes, support you through a grieving process that takes time, aid in breaking the habit of getting back with someone you know isn't right for you, but isn't so long that it feels like you can't commit to it.

The great thing about this course is that it's SO versatile.  You can use it if you've been broken up with, if someone else has broken up with you, if you're on a break or want to take a break from a relationship, if the breakup is fresh, or if it's not so fresh but you haven't processed the relationship properly.

This course is appropriate for people of all ages, genders, sexes, levels of knowledge and insight, and abilities (all videos have captions!)  I also made it affordable so that it's accessible to as many people as possible.  To be clear, this is not therapy, nor does it take the place of therapy.  There's no bait and switch here; it truly is a course that's packed with knowledge, ideas, and tools.  I really just wanted to make it a great value and a no-brainer for you as a way to get support, because even if we know what we should be doing, sometimes we just need someone to tell us exactly what to do and how to do it.
